The Boston based International Data Group (IDG) has licensed the African eDevelopment Resource Centre (AeRC) to publish and manage their CIO brand of information technology products in the East African region. The announcement was made this week by Mr. Jim Sullivan, the Vice President, Licensing for IDG in his Massachusetts Office. The license involves the publishing – in both print and online – of CIO magazine customized to the East African region, hosting of the CIO Executive briefing programmes and the CIO 100 series. All these information products will now be available to the East African market through the Centre’s publishing unit. While commenting on the license, Mr. Andrew Karanja, the Centres Operations Director, said the partnership with IDG will infuse IDG’s vast experience, professionalism and knowledge in the sector to the publishing unit. “This coupled with our own knowledge and market intelligence, we are bound to develop extremely useful information products for the market,” Karanja continued. The CIO brand of information products targets Heads of IT and other ICT policy makers. |
