As East Africa is preparing for the arrival of the three undersea fibre optic cables (Teams, Seacom, Eassy), African E- Development Resource Center has taken the prime step of providing certified technical training to equip the technocrats with the necessary skills and knowledge.

The training which began from 30th June to 3rd July this year was attended by an overwhelming number of trainees across the continent.

According to Kriss Kilonzo, the Managing Director, Savannah Electronics, who trained for the course, appreciated the training for its advance knowledgeable theory as well as the practical course which he said was the pinnacle of training because of its ability to interconnect  the theory with the reality.

"This is one of the most spectacular trainings I have ever attended. Getting to learn the theory and relate with the reality through the practical classes was the most interesting thing. This makes you to be fully capacitated with the necessary knowledge and skills.”

Kilonzo called upon the Center to organize for such more trainings in future in order to advancely equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge that will help them meet the international standards;

”The training was fantastic but it would be necessary if the Center organized for more advanced trainings for us so that we may continue upgrading our skills to the necessary standards.”

He believes with the knowledge acquired he will be able to provide competent services to his customer with a well advanced technological know how in the fiber-optic field.
